Our 2nd annual Benefit Concert was Sunday, October 12, 2014

We raised $2821.00 which will be disbursed to the Gifts of Hope organizations.  This total includes $1000 in matching funds from the Fairfax Chapter of Thrivent Financial.  Thanks to all who donated before, during or after the event.  Thanks to Redeemer Lutheran Church, McLean VA for hosting this event.  75 people attended.  Thanks to all who attended, donated, hosted, or helped.  Together we make a difference.

Our guest artist was Lizabeth Flood, who has been a professional musician for 35 years and is a singer in Choral Arts Society of Washington. She shared her vocal and piano skills with music from the Great American Songbook and featured tunes from these well-known composers:

  • Irving Berlin
  • Duke Ellington
  • George and Ira Gershwin
  • Cole Porter
  • Rodgers and Hart
  • Harry Warren

It was an afternoon of familiar music!
